David Adams [he/him] joined the lab in 2026. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Educational Studies from Macalester College. After graduating, he worked in a clinical setting, helping adolescents and emerging adults recover from eating disorders. Now, he is a student in the joint Ph.D. program in Psychology and Women’s & Gender Studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. David is interested in what happens when members of marginalized groups assimilate to the hegemonic norms of dominant groups, as well as meta-issues such as how psychological research conceptualizes and responds to marginality.
