On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, The Washington Post published an op-ed by SART Director Dr. Patrick Grzanka on Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s controversial use of the term “sexual preference” during Senate confirmation hearings on her potential appointment to the US Supreme Court. Grzanka used recently published research with SART team members to explore the politics of sexual identity and why so many were offended by her use of the outdated term.
